On-Call Bus Driver
Boys & Girls Club of Columbia is responsible for transporting children from school to the Clubhouse each day M-F. Transportation takes place via passenger van (Class E required) and school bus (CDL required). The Club has a regular daily driver, however, we know there will be days when he is unable to drive, life happens! When it does, the Club looks to our on-call bus drivering team to ensure transportation is available for Columbia youth. This unique as-needed position involves a short 3-hour shift; 2pm-5pm.
Because there are kiddos involved, prior background, drug and driving record screening is required before operating the school bus (our organization incurs the cost of these safety screenings). Volunteer Bus Drivers are responsible for ensuring kiddos are delivered safely to the Club each day after school, and must be appropriately licensed (Class E to drive a passenger van and CDL to drive the school bus).
Requirements: Current CDL, class B license, with airbrakes certification. Clean criminal background check, Clean driving record.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+
